Summary over Swedish policy and efforts to meet the Convention on Biological Diversity.

As a result of the undertakings under the Convention on Biological Diversity, action plans were presented during the 1990's by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency and other authorities. Since 1999 Sweden's efforts towards environmental sustainability are guided by the environmental objectives adopted by Parliament. These specify priroritized avtivities and targets in relation to biological diversity.
