A varied agricultural landscape has domestic animals, cultivated crops aswell as an abundance of wild plants and animals, which have followed through thousands of years where the land has been cultivated and maintained. If this diversity is to be preserved it is important that the land is cultivated and that certain parts of the old landscape (stonewalls, ditches, meadows, pastures) are left and managed.
